Lets Make an Award Winning indie Movie
First, we will need some quirky characters, a bright colored poster that looks like it was made by 12 year old, an acoustic guitar soundtrack with some small name soon to be huge indie artist (just pick something out of the asmhatic kitty catalog.
OK, so we grab zany character #1, despite this character being a complete bombshell, she/he is on the fringe of society. He/she is a fan of horror movies, or anime, or underground bands. yet people into that are hardly as attractive as the character we see in the film. The main character has equally quirky friends/family members, although slighty less atractive. They all speak to each other with tons of pop culture reference and an unnatural quick wit.
And then…TRAGEDY STRIKES! A family member dies, the main character reveals his or her ambition to accomplish some unrealistic goal (again because he/she is on the margin of society), he/she graduates form highschool, first year at college, he/she falls in love, etc.
In the Main character goes through such emotional turmoil discovers who he/she really is and accepts it surroundings.
Done, now when the dvd comes out just slap some palm d’ors and some sundance jury awards on that bitch and all the williamsburg hipsters and fat secretarys will be flooding your local blockbuster.
